As soon as the opponent makes the angle, we are going to enter into a [[X-guard]] variant by catching the far leg, hip switching underneath in and placing our secondary leg on the inside of the opponent's thigh.
When we lend, we want to keep pressure on the far leg to prevent a scramble. We then have two options. Either we let the opponent come to us and we enter into [[Ashi garami]].
# Opponent backs out

We switch our [[Reverse de la riva (RDLR)]] hook to a hook behind the knee on the far leg, we grip behind the previously hooked leg with our top arm and place our secondary leg on the far hip. We then pull on the bottom of the legs with the far hook and our arms and push on the far hip for a [[Tripod sweep]].

# [[Saddle]] on far leg via [[Imanari roll]]
Or we can get up to a [[Combat base]] and start passing ([[Guard pass]]).
To initiate our [[False reap]], we need to pull the opponent's knee tight on our chest. We then push a bit on the opponent chest to insert our secondary leg as a hook on the opponent far leg. We then drop our [[Reverse de la riva (RDLR)]] hook to the floor, catch the opponent heel and extract our leg by scissoring and lifting. We then lift our bottom knee to enter [[Saddle]].

When the opponent pushes into our [[Guard]], we need to prevent him from crossfacing us ([[Crossface]]) by monitoring his far arm. To do this, we use both our arms to on his far arm as we do not need to the grip on the trapped ankle. If the opponent goes back, we need to switch back to the grip on the ankle.

Our goal is now to push is arm underneath his body by pushing his wrist and pulling behind his triceps.
To finish the [[Sweep]], we then extend our leg to make the opponent take a big step. While doing this, we also get up and follow him. Ideally, we would rather the opponent not fall backwards.
The full sequence looks like this.

To do this move, we need to have a grip with our top arm behind the opponent trapped knee. It usually happens when we are trying to play [[Shin to shin]] and the opponent steps over our leg.

If we manage to make a bit of space between us and the opponent, we can invert to go into an [[Imanari roll]] on the far leg to enter into [[Saddle]]. At the end of the roll, we want to shoot our hips high to unbalance the opponent.
This sequence also works if the opponent is low.
We can also try inserting this hand when the opponent is pressuring into us and we manage to make a bit of space.
We then use our secondary leg to post the mat. We pull ourselves under the opponent and [[Sweep]] him overhead.
# Opponent makes an angle
Images/Sport/BJJ/enigma_rdlr_entry.gif
We do not want a gap between our thigh and the opponent's knee. We want to create an angle to stay tight on the opponent's leg.
With our other leg, we can either reinforce our [[Reverse de la riva (RDLR)]] hook or make space by pushing in the opponent's armpit. We do not want to place our foot on his hip as it can lead to an [[Estima lock]] fast.

A possible variant consists in gripping the leg on which the [[X-guard]] is established, to make the opponent fall and enter into [[Leglock]]s immediately.
Using our [[Reverse de la riva (RDLR)]] hook, we are able to prevent the opponent from [[Knee cut]]ting us but we are not able to prevent him from making an angle and then changing level.
